Q. What are some benefits of using sugar scrubs in your skin care routine?Sugar Scrub Benefit #1: Removes buildup. As we mentioned, a sugar scrub is used for mechanical exfoliation. This type of exfoliation removes the top layer of skin cells, per the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), as well as impurities, dirt, and excess oils. Sugar Scrub Benefit #2: Brightens skin. Not only does exfoliating with a sugar scrub remove buildup from your skin, but it also helps to create a more radiant complexion. As the AAD states, the removal of dead cells leaves the skin looking brighter. Sugar Scrub Benefit #3: Provides gentle exfoliation. Sugar scrubs are a gentler option, as the sugar granules melt onto your skin for exfoliation that’s kind to your complexion.

Q. Can I really exfoliate every day?We cannot speak for other brands or methods, and we suggest 1-2x a week for both effectiveness and economy, however Blush and Green Sugar Scrub is absolutely gentle enough to use daily on both face and body. Eating well and drinking lots of water are a must for great skin, but it is regular exfoliation that takes good skin and makes it great. It also increases blood flow while gently massaging the skin and helps with muscle tone.

Continuing scientific research has found that certain essential oils indeed have health benefits; in fact, many modern medications are derived from essential oils. Essential Oil Benefit #2: Essential oils are often used to ease stress, boost mood, relieve pain from headaches and migraines, get a better night's sleep, quell nausea, and even repel insects. Most essential oils have antiseptic properties as well. The beneficial compounds in oils often are delivered in three ways: inhalation, topical application to the skin, and oral ingestion
